President Uhuru Kenyatta has promised to reach out to his rivals as after the repeat polls if he wins saying it is the responsibility of every leader to do so.

Addressing journalists at Mutomo Primary School in his Gatundu South where he cast his vote. The president said it was the responsibility of whoever is elected to heal the country and tackle tribalism.
“Tribalism is an issue that we must continue to deal with and fight as we continue to develop our country. We cannot develop our nation and achieve our goals if we continue to embark on tribalism politics .

Kenyatta said that he is hopeful that he will emerge a winner adding that Kenya is a democratic county.
President Kenyatta was accompanied by first lady Margaret Kenyatta, Forner First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyaatta, State House Comptroller Manoah Esipisu, Kiambu Governor Ferdinard Waititndu, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Energy PS Joseph Njoroge.
