Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has ruled out the possibility of holding talks with his outgoing deputy, Polycarp Igathe, saying he will engage city MCAs on the way forward.
Speaking at a workshop in Kiambu County Sonko said Igathe’s resignation came as a shocker to him but it was influenced by personal choice.
The Nairobi Ward reprepresentatives have vowed to support the governor to help make his term a success.
Nairobi County Chief Whip Chege Mwaura says their support for Sonko is unconditional noting that they want to continue to deliver services to the Nairobi people.
Igathe resigned from his post last week , citing a lack of chemistry between him and Governor Sonko.
