MP Challenges County’s Decision to Ban Bodaboda from main city

Bodaboda ban

Starehe Member of Parliament Charles Njagua alias Jaguar has gone to court to challenge the Nairobi County Government’s ban on boda boda from the Central Business District

Jaguar says the decision by the county Governor Mike Sonko was arrived at without consulting stakeholders.

The Jubilee MP wants the court to quash the notice by the county government, terming it as ill-informed, was unilaterally made and is also based on irrelevant considerations.

He laments that the boda boda ban may result in more harm than good, as the operators will be left frustrated and without a source of livelihood, a situation that might easily lead them to engage in criminal activities.
