Kenyan Electoral body IEBC is today expected to decide the fate of the cancelled repeat presidential election in the Nyanza region.
IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati says even though as a commission they are prepared for the polls in the 25 constituencies in Kisumu, Siaya, Migori and Homa Bay, they do not want to risk the lives of IEBC officials, putting in mind what happened to them on Thursday during the polls.
The chairman has also said that in one of the polling stations in Turkana Central Constituency where voting was to be repeated yesterday did not proceed following security concerns.
On the other hand, Kenyan Opposition Nasa Principles are this morning set to attend a church service at the Gatina PAG Church, in Kawangware area in Nairobi.
Later the leaders led by Raila Odinga will address a public Rally at the Kawangware 56 stage.
Their visit in the area comes just a day after one person was shot dead in Kawangware, as police moved in to quell fighting between two groups.
Property of unknown value was destroyed as the gangs looted and set fire to buildings.
