The Vice President of Uganda, His Excellency Prof. Gilbert Bukenya was the guest of honor at a charity dinner organized by Business Excellence as part of the 7th Annual Digital Africa Summit. The dinner marked the end of the second day of the conference which featured distinguished speakers. The 7th Annual Digital Africa Summit brings together an intimate gathering of over 300 key stakeholders, from Ministries, Regulators and Service Providers from over 32 African countries including 21 endorsing Partners.

Our Innovative Knowledge Zone sponsored by SAP Africa and twin conference themes focused on Convergence Excellence and Innovation Excellence and master-classes on Innovation and Knowledge Excellence, will stimulate the creative ideas needed to drive positive change while ensuring the ICT industry in Africa realizes it’s goal to be the key driver for social economic development and wealth creation across the region.

At each Annual Digital Summit, Business Excellence seeks opportunities to support local charities as a way of giving back to the community. This year they were able to join Map International, one of their endorsing partners, in their support of The Bukenya Foundation. The Charity dinner was held at the Kabira Club on 20/05/09.

The Bukenya Foundation started by His Excellency Proff. Gilbert Bukenya is commited to alleviating the plight of underprivileged children. Map International, whose products do a lot for social development, donated footballs to The Bukenya Foundation as well as additional support to underprivileged schools.
Business Excellence donated all proceeds from the prize draw as well as facilitating additional donations from attending delegates to The Bukenya Foundation. Also invited was Musica Para Salvar Vidas (MPSV) who were the entertainment for the night. MPSV supports disadvantaged children and raises support by staging dance performances as was the case at the charity dinner.
